A Witness Of More Than Christ

Image
Good day family and friends,     This week was alright. Let's get straight to the title.     (I can't give too many details) Thursday I had a house to visit and as I was walking out I saw two individuals who were having a heated argument right in front of our flat. It got a little physical. I should've spoke up, but I just kept walking to make it to the house on time.     On the way back from the visit I saw one of the same individuals angry again and acting violent. I, for sure, kept walking past that.     Later that night, we had forgot to lock our door (Always lock your door) and the POLICE walk into our flat. They didn't realize it would just come straight in as we do seem to be part of a complex. Anyway I had some details of what I had seen and they were doing an investigation. They asked for a statement from me. I called my mission leaders and they gave me the go ahead.     I was in shock that this was happening. The police asked u...

Week #17

Image
Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening everyone!     This week was not easy, but it can always be worse.     For those unaware, as a missionary we are assigned an area AND within that area the local congregation. The members of that congregation are vital to our success as missionaries because they know what they need to strengthen themselves. One of our responsibilities therefore is to motivate them to support us and direct us as to how to help them. Our job is more so to find and teach, theirs is to minister to and strengthen the members already there. But, in this area of Poole England, that is not the case. Therefore, this week was spent integrating ourselves with the members.     Every single lesson fell through. We didn't teach once this week. We spent hours walking from house to house and knocking the doors of the members in the area so we could get to know them. If we didn't get an answer or they weren't home we left a note in the door. It was hard to see p...

Transfers And The Relief Society

Image
Good afternoon everyone!      We had a proper transfer this week. It was kind of chaotic as usual.     After we got back from Stonehenge we got word that we were going to the Christchurch flat to build furniture for the incoming sisters. We had to build so much. We had to spend the night there it took so long. With a bunch of elders in a sister's flat we did what we could to get sleep. I used my damp towel bath towel as a blanket and my duffel bag as a pillow. My wilderness survival merit badge came in clutch.     That night I also got a call from the Mission President about what I would do on transfers. I would be getting a new companion who would be the district leader in Poole with me. I would introduce him to England and he would train me to be a district leader. He also told me to stop using a rubix cube. So I did. Gotta be more productive so that is what I am gonna do.      Wednesday was chaotic out of nowhere since Elder Stoddart ...

Stonehenge And Stuff

Image
This week has been good.      Last Monday we had a good time with each other for our P-day. We played some intense spikeball with each other and a British game known as "Bums up" Basically in "Bums up" you take turns guarding a goal while everyone else attempts to score with Volleys and Headers on a football. If you miss you are in the goal until at the end, the loser bends over with his bum up and receives penalty kicks at them. It hurts my friends.     Tuesday we walked 23 blocks in the rain and got drenched as we went to see a self referral. When we got to her she told us to go away so we walked back entirely soaked and cold. It can be like that sometimes. Just wanna share the good news of the gospel, that is all. So bad, I would walk 23 blocks in the rain to tell you. The world needs the hope of Jesus Christ.     We also had the wonderful chance to help sort clothes for Afghan Refugees coming to the city. There were so many donations we had to tell...
