Gafield Elm

Image
Hiya everyone!     The Lord has really prepared the way this week. It seems anytime we went to find people to teach, that tons of people were interested. I also just felt more confidence to talk to people. So that was a great part of this week.     One of our friends is a hustler. He is building his own clothing buisness and making his own apps. His parents were super wealthy executives in the shell petrol company. But he knows the need for God and desired for a bible study, so we had one haha. We only managed to share 2 verses, but that was enough for him. He was gonna come to church even until we get to Sunday.... Well, we called him up after church and it turns out he got arrested on false charges. Anyway, that was interesting.     On Wednesday we had our zone conference in Gadfield Elm.      ******HISTORY-Skip if you so please******     So, Gadfield Elm for those that don't know, (I didn't know either), is a church history site ...

BBQ's For Days

Image
Hiya!     For my monday we were lucky to have a bunch of laser guns at the chapel, so we played laser tag with the other missionaries. And I cleaned the flat, which was nice.     This week was full of teachings as well. Some memorable ones were a lesson in which a rabbit kept hopping round and on top of his big cage to snatch food. A man coming up to us angrily thinking we were his employees who were skipping work, but then doing a full 180 and wanting to take the lessons, and having an interfaith conversation with leaders of the Muslim, Catholic, and Unification faiths. Some amazing people they are.     We also had a lot of food of which I am so grateful for. Lots of BBQ food because it is sunny and warm in Britain finally haha. Even baby back ribs! It has been nearly a year since I had those. On the weekend we had a Brazilian BBQ, which was amazing. Brazilians make some of the tastiest food I have ever had. So just a ton of meat, rice, and egg/corn salad,...

Swindon

Wow, Swindon is a great place to be!     This week was quite busy.     So to start, we have a car and I have been learning to drive. Which really is just getting on the road and figuring it out. To be honest, it isn't as hard as I thought it would be since my head has adjusted to how everything works on the left side. I don't know how I am doing it to be honest, but I am so thankful to be driving. It really helps with everything.     I live with two other elders and they are both from France. Elder Raveau and Elder Leroy (pronounced "Leh-hwah"). They are hilarious. One of them is crazier than me even.      I moved Wednesday. On Friday we turned around and drove 2 hours to and from Cardiff, Wales so we could get a new SIM card. Yeah, a whole day spent on travel to get a new SIM card haha. I enjoyed it though. I even was able to drive back which wasn't too hard since it was the motorway the whole time.     Then Saturday we did some se...

Warwick Castle And I Am Moving Already!

Image
Hi guys! This email should be the normal length haha.      Maybe longer than normal. A lot happened.     Righty ho, so back last Monday we had a chill day ya know, just cleaning the flat and playing a bunch of board games. Later that evening we had dinner with some very cool people in our ward. Brother and Sister Morely. What was so cool is that Sister Morely was the secretary of the one and only ELDER HOLLAND for 4 YEARS! It was an honor to have dinner with her. Oh, and another member there, her husband was the driver for Elder Ballard during that time as well as the Europe Area office is just a 20 min drive from there. So I am gonna count that as the closest I have gotten to dining with a general authority.     Tuesday we went to tracting in the rain and got utterly REJECTED. Let's go.     We make it to Thursday and out of nowhere these allergies just attack everyone. Well, every American missionary. Imagine having to sneeze and not being a...
