I Am Moving Again

Image
Hiya!   This week I was able to get some Doc Martens because my other shoes are pretty worn down. My brown pair actually had holes through the souls and so my feet kept getting soaked in the rain and pebbles managed to sneak their way in as well.   We taught a few lessons this week so that was good. Best part was we went to tracting yesterday as well and found a guy who is interested in reinstating The Law of Moses. Don't plan on doing that soon, but he is curious of where the truth is nonetheless.   We didn't have a whole lot of success while talking to people in town, but we enjoyed our time by the ocean. It was so windy you could just lean into it. Was nice.   I did get my transfer news though! I am moving to Evesham which is pretty far North of me about 4 hours. I actually like it because with Winter coming on I may actually get snow. As well I will be blessed with a car. I am staying a District Leader and my companion will be Elder Black. He has been out 13 or s...

Disappointing Sometimes

Image
Hiya!   We had a lesson with our new friend Woody. He was found on Social Media and we went out to eat with him. He was pretty receptive to the message and has been reading the Book of Mormon. So that is great.   The rest of the week was a bit of a bust ngl. Several of our friends didn't meet and we had to stop teaching a few as well.    Most days we spent trying to talk to people on the streets and knocking doors. Unfortunately nothing has come of it.    Some good news though is that next week we are going to have dinner with members twice which I am so thankful for! Especially Thanksgiving dinner.    -Onwards and Upwards  -Elder Berry

Interview In Progress

Image
Hiya!   This week we filmed our interview with Deseret News page! I am so excited for you guys to see it when it is released later this week. Even cooler, our interviewer is becoming interested in our message and mentioned that he is thinking about being baptized. What a cool way to find and teach someone. Along with the interview there should be an article of our chapel tour as well.    One of our friends we have been teaching has severe mental health challenges, and struggles to show their face. But this week we got to see them! It is a huge step of progress for us.    On Thursday we had Zone Conference and that was great. One of the messages we heard was that we should be obedient because we love Jesus Christ. Not because we want specific blessings. I definitely can work on this higher level of obedience. It has been good to teach our friends as well. When we started to head home we found that the car in which we had gotten a lift with some other missionaries...

Missionary Email

Hiya   My companion has pokemon cards and I figured that I should try playing the game. I bever could figure it out when I was younger. So I got a good deal on some cards and actually have been enjoying that a lot lately in the evenings. Don't see it going anywhere.   Also on Caden's latest weird obsessions I have gotten to really like Almond Milk. It's so much better than regular milk. As well, I have been getting into family history lately. Oh yeah!!!! I actually think it is something so cool. Like as a missionary you want to do those things that invite the spirit and family history is like a never ending puzzle but it is so productive and does that. So I don't know how to do a ton, but I have just started writing my memories of relatives, attaching the 1950 Census docs to people and reading about ancestors. Anyway, Who else likes family history? Can you let me know what you found that was cool as you do it.   This week was a slower week thanks to daylight savings ste...
