Missionary Email
Hiya
My companion has pokemon cards and I figured that I should try playing the game. I bever could figure it out when I was younger. So I got a good deal on some cards and actually have been enjoying that a lot lately in the evenings. Don't see it going anywhere.
Also on Caden's latest weird obsessions I have gotten to really like Almond Milk. It's so much better than regular milk. As well, I have been getting into family history lately. Oh yeah!!!! I actually think it is something so cool. Like as a missionary you want to do those things that invite the spirit and family history is like a never ending puzzle but it is so productive and does that. So I don't know how to do a ton, but I have just started writing my memories of relatives, attaching the 1950 Census docs to people and reading about ancestors. Anyway, Who else likes family history? Can you let me know what you found that was cool as you do it.
This week was a slower week thanks to daylight savings stealing all the daylight. Gets dark at 4:40. We tracted a good deal and tried to street contact but didn't have much happen.
Our friend Loraine is progressing well though and she came to church again. She is starting to get the hang of the Book of Mormon and covenants.
On Saturday we got permission to celebrate Guy Fawkes with the youth. So down on the beach they lit a big bonfire and had a pretty enjoyable fireworks display over the ocean. Afterwards we went to the chapel and cooked up jacket potatoes (loaded potatoes) beans, cheese, and some bacon and sausage and ate it in the foyer. Kind of weird, but good. Also embarrassing realization: you are supposed to keep the clear casing ON the sausage when you cook it. No wonder my sausages have been so soft and fall apart.
The interview with Dorset News is tomorrow...
