Hi!

Image
Hiya! So, they have this holiday called Pancake Day over here, which is the day before Lent. So, I have recently had so many pancakes, and the pancakes over here are really just crepes. Lemon and sugar are AMAZING on a pancake! I even made my own by putting it on a pan and then baking it in the oven. It works well! We have had a good deal of lessons, and some have been great, while others have not been so great. But we have to make it clear that we are on the Lord's time, and if they don't really want to progress, chit-chat isn't worth our time. Sorry. The district switched up a bit this transfer, but we all get on quite well. I am looking forward to this transfer. Today, we went to Worcester for our P-day and explored Worcester Cathedral. Then we got Five Guys for the first time in my life. I don't know if it was worth a full £15, but it was pretty good. See ya soon! -Onwards and Upwards, Elder Berry

Transfers!

Hiya! Transfer news is I am STAYING in Evesham, and Elder Black is leaving to go to Newton Abbott. My new companion is Elder Hopkins! I am looking forward to everything going forward. There is so much good going on here, and I don't want to leave. This week was busy. We went over to the house of someone we met in the park, and they were actually interested! We talked about family history and saw some pictures from their lives. They have a song signed by Mick Jagger, and also some pictures of horses that were supervised and Queen Elizabeth sat on. Looking forward to continuing to teach them! We also had a service project for our Ukrainian friend in Morton-in-Marsh, and that was great! We laid a ton of dead sod and then had to roll it back up because she wasn't happy with it. But the other areas around the back and inside the house went smoothly, so no hard feelings. She came to church, though! It has been a very long day spent messaging people, and I have written a full-length e...

Evesham Adventure Playground

Image
Hiya! We started volunteering at "Evesham Adventure Playground," which is basically a big playground for kids who are struggling to behave at school. We just put a ton of woodchips down around the structure and zipwire (which is British for zipline, lol). On exchanges in Evesham, we were teaching our good South African family, and a family friend named John just walks into the meeting and is interested because the family had been telling him about us. That was exciting! Today, we went to a really pretty manor as a district and got tons of pictures. The weather was perfect! Looking forward to this week! -Onwards and Upwards. -Elder Berry

Tea, The Police, And Kolob

Hiya, everyone! Yes, I am two weeks behind, and some crazy things have happened these past two weeks. This is gonna be good. One of my best friends, Gabriela King, seems to have received a one-semester scholarship to study at the University of Swansea Wales, which is within my mission boundaries. So, I was able to see her last week! What a cool opportunity! Of course, we went to an English classic: Toby's - "The Home of The Roast." Our server was training to be the head chef, and he was really funny, making all sorts of jokes. But it was so good to catch up on life back home. It was also fun to hear about their adventures and just how hard jetlag had hit them. Most of our conversations were about driving because they had rented a car and were driving around. I also got Gabby a chav jacket. A Gregg's one. For those that don't know, "Greggs" is the name of a sandwich/coffee shop that is everywhere in the UK. Troublesome youth tend to hang out at the place,...
