Out Of Quarantine In Wales!!

Image
Geez, after a little tough patch of quarantine, I was able to get out! Wow, Wales is so cool!    When I got out, I joined three other Elder's up the road in Fforestfach (funny words, ik). They had a really nice flat on a church member's property. The member's were the Berry's! I swear they must be related to me in someway because I have genealogy going back to Wales. Also, just to make things even better, my Companion for a few days was the British Elder Barry. So, that was a fun time to be with him. We were only together for two days, but I enjoyed his British humor and driving skills. These roads are something with all the cars parked on the side and constant roundabouts. Also they don't go in straight paths. Really like a bunch of noodles on the map tbh.   The other 2 Elder's were Elder Hemi and Elder Fue. Elder Hemi was a wild child from New Zealand. Apparently Kiwi's are really fun and yeah, Elder Hemi definitely made it so. Make what you want with that...

Prep, Travel, And Some Quarantine in Wales

What a trip! The long awaited time is now here! I am definitely not in America anymore.    Last Wednesday I got up throughout the night to say goodbyes to my district until early morning the final 3 of us remained. We took 2 Trains and 3 Busses until we got to the airport. There was a little mishap with my passport, but it was a little error on my part and that disaster was avoided haha. We took a 3 hour flight to Chicago and then from Chicago a 7 hour overnight flight to the London Heathrow Airport in England. I was able to talk to my seat-mates on the plane and man, I love just talking to people! Everyone has got a story for sure. And I just wanted to hear about it and offer help.   Anyway, after a long plane ride with very little sleep we got to meet the Mission President and a few others who also are in the mission. I said goodbye to Conner for the next 2 YEARS. It's somewhat hard to think about that.   Then I got in a Taxi and Died. Like I just collapsed until I...

Final Week Of MTC!

Image
Hello again everybody! One entire week of the Provo MTC down, and less than 1 week to go.    A highlight of my week would have to be Sunday. Sundays here are the busiest days of the week, but also the most enriching and reflective. We were able to have a session of church known as our sacrament meeting, because we remember Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross through an ordinance known as "sacrament". I had the opportunity to bless it, and I will always remember the joy I felt as I watched our entire zone (basically a collection of districts) partake humbly and reverently of the bread and water. It was just a neat thing to see everyone's respect, and what Christ's sacrifice meant to them. Later that afternoon we had the opportunity to "Go and Do". This meant 2 hours of completely uninterrupted time to pray and study to grow closer to God and find answers to the many questions upon our souls. The experience was wonderful, and I found insight to ...

Provo MTC!

What a change. After just a week of online Missionary Training at the "Sweeney MTC" , Conner and I said goodbye to our family. I'm gonna miss my mom so much. She was an absolute machine in scheduling all of our various things, shopping, and working out our travel the best we could. I love you mom and will be sure to take pictures. Dad is the ultimate example of leadership and service. I'm not out here to waste precious time with those who seek to disprove and persecute me. I'm here to act as a servant of the lord for the afflicted. That was the character of Christ, and that was the character I saw in my dad as well. I'm gonna miss you dad. Love you. Brothers and Sisters, be good to mom and dad. They are the defining influence in my life. We are blessed to have them as parents. I love all of you guys, and will be looking for cool things to share with y'all while I am out.     The home MTC wasn't too eventful since last week and it's over now anyway....
