Christmas!

Image
Hiya everyone! Merry Christmas.    We had a really good week. Maybe the best I have ever had. This email might be kinda long fyi. Anyway, let's go.   I got a fresh cut on P-day and we cleaned the car real good because the next day we went to Bristol for our big Missionary Christmas Conference and they were installing "Dap" into our cars. Basically little boxes that track if we are driving safely and yell at us if we are not. They aren't too bad, but I don't think they can handle the big roundabouts accurately lol.   But the Christmas conference was really great. Some highlights were that we had a game where we tossed skittles into a cup one of us was holding. So we each had a cup of like 100 skittles and we had 3 minutes. After a few moments we found that one at a time was not gonna cut it, so we just started throwing tons of skittles all at once. There were so many skittles on the ground.  Another cool thing was I was able to win the scripture challenge and as ...

God's Plans

Hiya!   This week I started out sick unfortunately, but we healed up fairly quickly. I didn't get a break from work though as the UK has decided that it would be the perfect time to have train strikes.   So me and my sick comp traveled down to Bristol still to have interviews with our mission president. The Lord helped to heal us though and by the end of the day I had almost returned back to normal. And get this: At a Petrol station nearby the mission office we found Ben and Jerry's ice cream for £1.38. Yeah. Normally it is £5.50. So I got the 3 for less than the price of one. Saved nearly £14! That was great! Then we stopped by to drop off some other missionaries and left it in their fridge.   The rest of the week, we had a lot of beautiful miracles and lessons which I can't share, but I have to share this one.   One day we woke up and had a plan for the day, but God had a different plan. We got the impression of going to a village called Honeybourne. Why? We don't ...

Miracles

Hiya!   So this was a very good week. I noticed God's hand so many times. Perhaps you would like to hear some stories.   1st of all, we have been trying to move flats because this one is kind of gross and old. Well after being denied applications over and over, we got a call saying that the original recipient fell through and they extended the offer to us. Yay!!   On Thursday we had such a beautiful miracle. We had been a bit discouraged, but decided to turn it over to the Lord and trust in him. So that led us to a small town about 40 mins away called Morton-in-Marsh. We decided to start knocking doors and within about 10 minutes we got to our miracle. This middle aged woman answered the door and I don't even remember what we said, but she told us we must be so cold and asked if we would like some tea and invited us in. Yes it is always a bit awkward, but when we got our warm water (because we don't drink tea...) she told us how her life has been so hard lately. She had b...

Evesham

Hiya!   I moved up to Evesham last Wednesday and it has been great so far. Evesham is a smaller branch with about 30 active members of the congregation, but they are so nice. I do like how loved and involved I feel with the members.   It was a busy first bit with Seminary with the 3 youth and some service with the local charity shop the next day. The charity shop was so busy. We spent all of our time restocking the CD's and Books and adding the Christmas ones. Then that evening we had a lesson with a friend on baptismal date named Chris. Chris is a really kind older man and we helped him to learn to pray. Was a great lesson.   The next day we went out and tracted and everyone is so much NICER than in other areas I have tracted. So that is great. Then we went out with a few members to deliver treats to some people who needed it this Christmas season.   I have to tell you about another guy. John.   John is a recent convert of almost one year to the church. His ful...
