Miracles

Hiya!

So this was a very good week. I noticed God's hand so many times. Perhaps you would like to hear some stories.

1st of all, we have been trying to move flats because this one is kind of gross and old. Well after being denied applications over and over, we got a call saying that the original recipient fell through and they extended the offer to us. Yay!!

On Thursday we had such a beautiful miracle. We had been a bit discouraged, but decided to turn it over to the Lord and trust in him. So that led us to a small town about 40 mins away called Morton-in-Marsh. We decided to start knocking doors and within about 10 minutes we got to our miracle. This middle aged woman answered the door and I don't even remember what we said, but she told us we must be so cold and asked if we would like some tea and invited us in. Yes it is always a bit awkward, but when we got our warm water (because we don't drink tea...) she told us how her life has been so hard lately. She had been living without any hot water for nearly a month, her cat had just died, and her house was messy (not dirty, just messy). She was Ukrainian and had been dealing with the trauma of her relatives and friends in the horror that is occurring over there. We boldly declared that we were servants of Jesus Christ sent by him to her. We told her we had a message to share. And then we shared our message. It was a beautiful moment and she just broke down as we read a verse from the Book of Mormon. She said that she felt something so strongly telling her that this was right. She told us that she was gonna tell us to go away at first, but a voice told her that she needed to hear us. It is people like this and situations like this that make it all so worth it. Zoya has become our new best friend. We know that she is ready to hear the true and full Gospel of Jesus Christ.

And just to add some icing to the cake, our car has been acting up. When we reverse onto a sloped driveway and then try to drive out the car REMAINS IN REVERSE. So yeah, pretty dangerous. And so that happened and we went from having 2 feet of space to work with to pull out to having 5 inches and the worry that any gas would just go backwards. But we put it in neutral and Elder black pushed the car back out. So yeah, glad we are safe. We are taking it to the shop, don't worry.

Another miracle is that yesterday we decided to stop by someone who said they may be interested. Right, these usually don't go too well. Well, this one did. We were immediately invited in and asked to share our message. So we did. We are going back again on Wednesday. Blessing!!!

And one more embarrassing story for ya.

Right English roads are tight. I go down to the end of one and guess what, there is roadworks at the end, so I gotta go another way. I start tryna reverse and because these roads are so small, I get stuck literally 1 inch away from a car. I decided that we should just go knock some doors to find out whose car it is and ask them ever so kindly to move it back a bit so I can complete my maneuver (like the spelling?) Well, we can't find the owner, but these people start coming out of the house and I swear two of my dad's just start yelling at me about how to turn my car and I get it to right back where it started towards the roadworks. And then the construction guy has to move all the stuff out of the way so i can drive all the way through the construction site. So embarrassing haha.

And yes, it snowed. Like properly. That was unexpected, but really cool.

And I have been sick for the past two days, but I am on the mend. Love y'all
