Final Week Of MTC!

Hello again everybody! One entire week of the Provo MTC down, and less than 1 week to go.

A highlight of my week would have to be Sunday. Sundays here are the busiest days of the week, but also the most enriching and reflective. We were able to have a session of church known as our sacrament meeting, because we remember Jesus Christ's sacrifice for us on the cross through an ordinance known as "sacrament". I had the opportunity to bless it, and I will always remember the joy I felt as I watched our entire zone (basically a collection of districts) partake humbly and reverently of the bread and water. It was just a neat thing to see everyone's respect, and what Christ's sacrifice meant to them. Later that afternoon we had the opportunity to "Go and Do". This meant 2 hours of completely uninterrupted time to pray and study to grow closer to God and find answers to the many questions upon our souls. The experience was wonderful, and I found insight to my struggles. Finally that night we had a devotional given from the MTC president about faith. Faith in Jesus Christ helps us in our lives and others, but he also demonstrated that true faith unlocks the powers of heaven to perform miracles. I have a greater want to gain that kind of faith so that I too can call down the powers of heaven myself.

The other days of the week were great as well. If there was ever a way to learn so much of what to know, how to act, and what to be, so rapidly, it would be here. I have seen over and over that I am being prepared to labor in the most important work on earth. I'm thankful for my teachers here and at home who taught me a little bit about how to teach, because my goal is to become a master teacher. I've had the opportunity to do daily role plays and my desire to share keeps growing. If I am able to help someone in this with me to learn and grow closer to Jesus Christ, I am excited to help and love someone who has never heard the good news of Christ's gospel before. Imagine what it can do for them. Everything is possible.

My volleyball skills are still growing and I believe we are gonna have a tournament tonight haha. I just gotta get better at staying in my zone. Also, I had the opportunity to sing in the choir! That was so fun. The teacher tells amazing stories about Jesus Christ, and about God's plan of happiness for us as we progress. It really brought the song "I Feel My Savior's Love" to life. I'm not an amazing singer by any stretch, but I felt joy and unity as we sang about Christ's love for us. I may have cried, but that is beside the point.

Today I got to go to the Mount Timpanogos Temple. The experience was even better than last time, and I will treasure it up for the 2 years I am gone. It is a huge and gorgeous house of the Lord.

The BEST news is that I did it. I got my Visa. I have my plane tickets to England for next Wednesday. It is about 26 hours of travel (GEEZ) to my mission, but idk, I'll be freaking out most of the time so whatever. I should be able to sleep on the plane. There are only 8 other people from here (There's like 500 people) that are traveling to the same place I am. And even then I won't be doing the same thing as them. We will all be on our own mission for the Lord. My companion will probably be a native from the area so how freaking cool would that be? But, for realsies the next email I send I will have probably separated from Conner. Even here I only see him once or twice a day for a couple minutes. But, like I have mentioned before it's his, and my time to go about our separate labors. I know he will be successful. Not to mention my current companion, Elder Morgan. The dude is super easy going, and understands how to follow prompting from the spirit to help people. He's gonna do awesome in Layton. Imma miss the dude, because we got along great.

The next time I talk I WILL in England. And then it is time to go to work.

Until then, -Onward and Upward-
