Lost and Found...

Hiya, everyone!

This was probably one of my harder weeks, but we made it and I am a more committed disciple because of it.

We were low on money and food early this week because of all the travel and chaos from the previous week. Elder Stoddart lost his debit card, and I didn't have enough money to cover without personal funds. But the Lord provided some help.

1.We did service at the food bank again and they got a huge shipment of frozen goods. We were helping to put it away but we quickly ran out of room so we were offered a ton of it. We took two bags full of frozen, marinated, PRE-COOKED chicken. Incredible. That helps us out a lot. We won't have to buy chicken anymore.

2. A man by the bus stop came to us and told us he had stolen some beer from the store just now. He payed for some groceries for "cover" though, but he didn't actually need them. Doesn't make a whole lot of sense, but he gave them to us. So we got groceries that way.

3. Elder Stoddart got money put onto my card right before we were supposed to go shopping on Monday- 5 days before he was supposed to.

So now we got that sorted out. However, the worst was yet to come. This fine lad Elder Berry left his wallet on the bus.Once again, the lord pulled through with some tender miracles:

1.I had gotten the courage to talk to a lady we were sitting by and she turned my wallet in after I had gotten off.

2. When we miss the bus, it seems like that is God's way of putting us where we need to be. Anyway, we missed the bus and the bus we caught two hours later (we were well from home) was the SAME BUS we came up on.

3. Because we were broke and I didn't have my wallet we couldn't pay with cash we needed, we couldn't pay the 10 quid (pounds) needed to get back. But the bus driver was kind enough to let us on anyways. She got us all the way back and wished us luck in getting the wallet back and gave us the number to call to get it.

4. The next day we went to the place and come to find out the wallet was in the station of where we went the other day (A good 2 hours away). We decided to go get it ourselves. Just before we were about tp board the bus, the service agent lady comes RUNNING out to tell us that the wallet was on its way here. We almost wasted so much time.

We got the wallet back and everything was in it.

What a miracle for me. I am much more careful with it now and put it in a ZIPPER pocket.

We went to a Lady's house named Louise to help her paint. As per usual I like to share the fun food I have over here. She was so kind and treated us to a little posh lunch in her garden. She let us have have fentiman (a very nice soda of sorts over here), tomato lentil soup, and a french pie with broccoli and cheese. There were also some nice baguettes with really good cheese. For dessert we had raspberries and double cream. Super good. Double cream is basically milk that functions as butter if that makes sense. And the fentiman was Elderflower flavor. It was kind of like a very mild Sprite with flower petals. Hopefully that helps with the food update.

For the work, we have been on the grind. We have contacted over 50 people this week and tried to get things going. No new friends this week, but we have done a good job helping out recent converts and returning members. It has been hard, because I just wanna help teach new people. But what I have seen is that I can share the best, most inspired things, but if the person I am teaching doesn't try to learn and apply it they won't ever believe me. The gospel is true, but you have to know that for yourself.

AND BEHOLD: Durdle Door. A stunning peace of paradise on the coast of my area. We had the opportunity to visit today. The pictures speak for themselves. What a downright gorgeous place to go. I really appreciate the beauty of this place. What a good way to end the week. If you want more pics, lmk and I will pm them to you. There just isn't enough room over email.

Thank you for your prayers, your emails, and your support everyone. I try to share happy and interesting things over email, but know that being dressed in a white shirt and tie and trying to share the gospel is intimidating, disappointing, and demanding. I am growing more trusting of Christ and in myself while out here. God blesses me with miracles and guides me as shown above. So I keep going.

Love y'all

-Elder Berry.
