A Normal Week
Good day everyone.
How is everything going? Got any plans for the Holidays?
The week was pretty good.
We have about 6 people we are teaching and 4 of them are making good progress.
One lady we are teaching is doing very well. We asked her to read 1 chapter in the Book of Mormon but she carried on and read like 10. She really likes the message it contains and will come to church hopefully this week. We are excited.
Another guy is a tough one who has been taught for about a year now. Something inside of him is changing though and he is softening up. He is reading the Book of Mormon and coming to church. This guy has very high standards and is a devout Christian. We are excited to see his progress.
This week we had the bright Idea to tract our whole neighborhood. I was surprised with how positive of a response we got. Out of 200ish doors, only 5 or so were slammed shut on us. Many people wanted to meet up again.......
But then all of those fell through or were answered by a different person and it really just sucked haha. But that is ok. I know how to do it in the future.
-Get a name
-Get at least a range of time
-Come back THE NEXT DAY..
I have no doubt we will see some follow ups this way.
Honestly this stuff I do on my mission makes other life things seem easy for the future. Public speaking? Easy. Putting myself in the spotlight? Don't really get a choice. Planning? Check. Talking to all types of people about all types of things? Pretty much the definition of a missionary.
Now I am not good at any of it I wouldn't say, but definitely better and way more comfortable with it.
Ok I don't know why, but I think I am becoming some sort've foodie out here.
I made some FIRE Enchiladas. I was just missing them way too much because Mexican food doesn't exist over here. I am quite proud of them considering it was my first time.
Then I also made some Boligadeiros like I had from last week. So easy. Definitely my party food for the future.
As far as the world of food in Wales:
*I had Macaroni and Cheese sandwich from "Holy Cheesus" Sacrilegious as heck.
*Some "American Food" from the Smoke Haus. It just wasn't it though. That salad was super bitter, the dressing was melted butter or something, the sandwich was also that strong Welsh Cheddar. Oh man If you want to qualify me for homesickness it is just for American culture.
Anyway, that is pretty much it.
I am gonna go read the scriptures now because I am frustrated haha.
Hope you guys have a great week.
