Nadolig Llawen Pawb!
Hey dear friends and family.
The holidays are coming up and I hope that everyone is able to enjoy them. It is nice to be with family, have time off, and celebrate the season.
In Newport, Wales the homes that dot the hillside shine as colorful dots of light. The air is fairly cold and foggy. Snow is (hopefully) coming soon. Christmas is a huge holiday over here as well.
For missionary work this week we were able to make a new friend in the house across the street. We met this lady and she was very interested. We gave her a Book of Mormon, shared some beliefs and she even said she will come to church. Never can get our hopes too high though because people break promises all the time.
Then we went to see one of our friends and his family had us in. They were all non-practicing Muslims and we had a great chat. They also said they would come to church.
We all got together as a mission for our Zone Conference with the Cardiff, Merthyr Tydfil, and Cheltenham areas. As our mission president says, we were able to "unstring the bow a bit" and have a little bit of fun. We sang karaoke, had a Christmas dinner together and had a white elephant gift exchange. I got a little succulent to give away and I received a box of Cadbury Christmas cakes at the end. It all ended with a short devotional about Christ during this season.
This week will probably be quite crazy. 5 families are having us over for their celebrations which is such a blessing. This country knows how to do big food celebrations so I am excited. Also that Brazilian family wants us over for New Years and I might just explode with the amount of food they have.
I hope you guys have a wonderful Season! Remember Jesus Christ.
