Patience And Peace
Hiya guys!
We have been teaching a young girl who wants to get baptized and their family has been having some really awful problems. We decided to help serve them and clean up their house.
Ok, but they have a wild 5 year old who gets upset very easily. He is an angel until he decides not to be. As I was cleaning when he got upset about something he grunts and says "I'm gonna make a mess." Then he proceeds to throw anything nearby on the floor and at me. At one point he wanted to mop before we had finished our sweeping, so he got upset and dumped the whole mop bucket. Ahhhh!!!Patience is a virtue my friends.
The rest of the week was a slow down. It seems that almost everyone has Covid thus church services are small and kinda wonky with only 1 person on stand, just Elder Morriss I officiating the sacrament and 15 or so members in the congregation. And then a TV with nearly twice that joining virtually for various reasons apart from Covid.
3 of our friends have dropped us and we have struggled to find any more. That looks to be turning up however, but you can never be too certain as a missionary.
The highlight of the week (and I would argue the transfer) would be our trip to the London Temple. This building is the House of the Lord, Jesus Christ and inside a special feeling of peace abounds. I had the opportunity to support my friend and renew myself as we took part in a sacred ceremony that has bound him and I closer to Jesus Christ.
I know that Jesus Christ is at the center of my faith. This is his church.
